Ode to a Message Board

There used to be a message board
I'd check it every day
To keep in touch with all my friends
Who live so far away

I'd read reviews, I'd check tour dates
I'd catch the latest news
And sometimes, which was really fun
I'd blast 'em with MY views

Sure there are some other boards
But it's just not the same
We have to register to even post
And there's a separate place for flames!

Now, Goddess Gail, forgive my pleas
I don't mean to sound so monotonous
But my oh my, we really do miss
The chance to post as "anonymous"!

We know that you're a busy lady
You've got a life, you're allowed
In fact, I hope this little poem
Makes you Laugh Out Loud

We love you Gail, you rock our world
Your site is one of the best
You've taught us all about Rent and life
And friendship, and all the rest

Please, oh please, bring back our board!
We'll kiss your very feet!
We shall rejoice, when it comes back,
We'll say "that Gail, she's SWEET!"

Oh my I really do need a life
This poem is really dumb
But if it helps get that board back
Then my work here is done!
