4/21/02 i saw the show friday night in thousand oaks with a friend from work (1st time in how long?).  it was good - or - okay.  he loved it, 1st time he'd seen it.  to me it was kind of like RENT on speed - everyone hurrying through everything. particularly the benny.  no fluidity to me.  today i spent about 10 minutes reading the boards and noticing how nobody remembers anyone pre-brian in this role (except one person).  oy!  gimme taye or d' anyday! :-)  the roger & mimi were good, as was the maureen - good voices.  i'm being really rude calling them "the" [character] but i don't know their names.  the mimi kinda sucked on the bars - just flailed her arms around alot but didn't move much.  and her hair got stuck when she tried to release the glitter, lol.  but it was all good, my friend had never seen it so he thought OT was great.  all i could think was "ya shoulda seen daph!" but i love taking RENT virgins to the show :-)  oh yeah, and lauren ambrose was there ("six feet under").  not like i went and talked to her or anything - i only attack when mandy's around attacking taye, but if it wasn't her, i'll spit :-)

4/10/02 happy birthday AMBER!  i didn't forget, just forgot to post the update ;-)  hope you had a great day!

byron's site is finally up and operational.  go check it out :-)

4/7/02 a note from ant:

Just wanted to let you all know that I'll be back at Fez for three shows in the coming weeks...

First, on April 13th, I'll be joined for a few tunes by none other than the lovely and talented Kristen Lee Kelly.

Then, on April 27th, that Panamanian Fireball known as Daphne Rubin-Vega will be splitting the bill with me, with her band and mine doing equal time.  If you haven't seen her out and about yet, now's your chance!

And on May 4th it looks like the fabulously unabashed Kevin Cahoon will be coming up on the old stage for a couple of numbers.

Fez's number is 533-2680.  All shows are at 8 p.m.  And the cover is $15.  (Although for the double-bill show they might charge a few bucks more...)

Fez is under Time Cafe, on Great Jones and Lafayette...

Hope to see you all there.

i updated the guestbook (gasp! :-)  and julie!  kc found your old neverson babies in one of those 'backup everything' archives.  i love it, and here it is :-)  copy it back to your new site - it's yours :-)

4/6/02 somebody (anon) just told me i need to update the site.  update it in what way?  the bennytour is over babe - if you want RENT touring info, go to ticketmaster - this is bennytour as it started and ended.  yeah, the board links and crap are dead - i'll fix 'em when i have time.  i suck at updating anything here anymore.

fredi is in rehearsals for LK - the tour.  go see it! :-)

the transition to the new company has been kinda rocky, work is busier than ever tho.  and my hearing still sux.  it'll be a year soon that this has been going on, and nobody has done anything (except refer me elsewhere and then deny those referrals).  i'm switching insurance.

i was trying to get tickets to RENT at ticketmaster today - nothing works - not the site, not the phone, nada.  i have a couple of virgins i want to take :-)

and... i've never watched 'scrubs' - but i saw a commercial this week that next week's episode is all westside story theme - i have to watch it, it's what introduced me to musical theatre!  gotta love it :-)
