'Rent' Movie Begins Filming In San Francisco

Hollywood's spotlight is shining bright on San Francisco's Sixth Street.
Filming began Wednesday inside Club Six for the motion picture version of the musical "Rent."
The popular Broadway play is set in New York City and tells the story of struggling artists.
But film producers chose the streets of San Francisco as their location because they look the most like the gritty urban landscape of New York's East Village.
Producers also hired Bay Area residents as extras in the movie.
