palm desert closing nite
okay, so, i finally got off my butt and went back down to palm desert yesterday. we got
there right before the mat ended so we just waited at the stage door (and yes it was
freakin' cold, about to snow - haha :-) amber had been doing the line and joined us
wrapped in a fetching yellow blanket :-)
so we just talked to folks as they came out, took a few pictures and then headed off to
eat. jules, i gave scott your tapes, he was all excited to get them. and patty i gave
leigh your card, she was happy :-)
we had tickets for closing - there were still empty rush seats we could have gotten, but
we were in cc anyway so whatever.
this show was completely different from opening. chris toned down the "angry
roger" some. during glory when he stands facing the audience just singing that word,
glory, he gives me chills. pierre was more flirty and god he's just so cute, he owns this
role already and is only going to get better. brian was good, i'm liking him more and
more. moe was *fantastic*, i can't believe how great she is. someone was asking about her
cd - it's called "moe daniels" and i love it (even the beer song :-). and yes,
you can order it from phyllis online. this was the last time i'd see leigh as maureen, i
gave her a goodbye card, but i'm recruiting her for a TLS trip when she comes back in
january so we'll see her then :-)
wichasta had a little trouble with the high note in SOL but honey, it s000 doesn't matter,
i love her! lisa was getting irritated with me during santa fe cuz i kept nudging her to
watch wichasta's bag lady, she so rocks, she's hilarious.
alan was awesome, glad he'll be back in january (in the angel tour). too bad he'll be mr.
jefferson instead of collins but at least he'll be here (another recruit for a TLS trip
:-) lots of tears during icyr.
(this is stupid, bear with me :-) i was looking at julia's pants cuz back in june in
rochester she was telling us how excited she was to have *finally* gotten a new pair of
pants and um, i was just trippin' on that stolen wardrobe thing and trying to see if she
still had her new pants or not. looked like them to me, i forgot to ask her :-) i didn't
get a picture with *the wig* but she said she'll send one.
curt was his normal nose-pickin' self, the man next to me giggled and *snorted* loudly at
that part -haha :-) he always makes me laugh. wow, that was the last time i'll see him
too. after the show i hugged him and said "what's your last date, the 3rd?". and
he said "skinner". and i said "what?" and he said "what?"
and then we both started to laugh and he said "i thought you asked me what my last
name was and i was thinking "man, she forgot my name!". silly boy :-)
kristin's a sweetheart. after the show she was walking by and i said "kristin"
and introduced myself. she was shocked anyone knew her name so you people in the upcoming
cities, introduce yourselves! still loved horace's solo and told him so after the show :-)
i have to say this just for the record, *teri* had on this blue wig and her white boa and
was so diva you have to see the pictures to believe it - LOL! i got a great one of her and
brent together (2 divas :-)
and another TLS trip recruit - simeon wants to go too cuz you know, the boys in the band
just rock :-)
okay, so this wasn't as much a review as just *stuff* - it was fun and godonlyknows when
i'll see them again, they're so south and east coast for the next 6 months. guess i'll
have to finagle another trip outta my job somehow ;-)
