(performing swing/understudy)  pierre comes directly from the german production of miss saigon and was also an original member of miss saigon in toronto and throughout canada.  He feels blessed to be performing and is honored to join the c family.

(ensemble) from the canadian tour of "Rent," maggie joins the benny tour.  she graduated from harrison performing arts center in florida for theater and majored in musical theater at u.c.'s college-conservatory of music.  "my hope is that you leave this theater somehow inspired, somehow more grateful for life.  thanks be to God!"

(mark) matt recently graduated from governor's school for the arts in virginia having performed frank (merrily we roll along) and billy (anything goes).  regional: jesus/stephen (godspell), tom sawyer (big river), joe (school house rock live!).   thanks to God, mom, dad, family, gary spell, dr. michael tick and everyone at bernard telsey!

dana dawson

(performing swing/understudy) a native new yorker,is an international recording artist with two gold albums to her credit. she has appeared in national and regional theatre, commercials and television specials. dana is thrilled to be in RENT. she thanks her family for their love and the Lord for His many blessings.

shaun earl

(angel)  a native of california, he made his broadway debut as angel. he appeared on the TV show “fame” for its last two seasons.   Films:  "coming to america" and "the bodyguard", among others.   he also shared the stage with paula abdul, vanessa williams and a 2-1/2 year tour with reba mcentire.   his stage debut was in "fame – the musical" and he feels blessed and thanks God for performing in the cast of RENT.

mark ford

(collins) mark joins this company from the australian cast of RENT.  a chicago native, he has appeared off-broadway in "birth of the boom" and in regional productions of "dreamgirls", "ain't misbehavin", "wasted" and "still life".  he was in the film "i don't want to hear it" and sings with the vocal group 'mistyque'.

justin a johnston

(paul) originally from Gary, Ind., he studied music, dance and telecommunications at indiana university in bloomington. regional credits: "once on this island", "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat", "jesus christ superstar", "cats". justin was a member of the deeply rooted dance productions summer intensive program, indiana university african-american dance co. and chorale ensemble.

(roger)  jeremy originated the role of ren with his broadway debut in "footloose" (helen hayes award and outer critic’s award nominee).  starred in "rhythm club" at signature theatre, which   is set to open on broadway this fall.  NY Workshops:   "Rooms", "Summer of ’42", "Joe: The Musical".   originally from winnipeg, he studied at the royal winnipeg ballet and the school of performing arts.   he performed in the original canadian companies of "The Who’s Tommy" and "Rent".   television:   “FX”,   “john woo’s once a thief”.  jeremy is set to release a CD of original music this year.

(benny)  brian is absolutely thrilled and feels blessed to be making his RENT debut. a native of cleveland, ohio, his regional credits include 'ain't misbehavin' (ken);  'big river' (jim);  'kiss of the spiderwoman' (valentin);  'brother, can you spare a dime?';  and 'the all night strut'.   "much love to family and all glory and praise to the Lord.  without Him, i'd be nothing."

jake manabat

(ensemble) jake recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in economics and has been seen as luntha in 'the king and i' and as a featured performer in the UC men's octet. jake thanks his teachers, friends, family, and especially his twin brother jeffrey for their love, support, and inspiration.

(swing/understudy) stefanie makes her home in Toronto, and is delighted to be here.  principal credits include: "the who's tommy", "damn yankees", "the cradle will rock" and "orpheus in the underworld".  "thanks to my family and ian for their love and support and to god for my many blessings."

(mimi) a montreal native, dominique has performed in the canadian and angel companies of RENT.  she also make her broadway debut in RENT.  a professional dancer and actress, she performed in a variety of shows in montreal, toronto, and the caribbean.   "thanks to rosie and mom for the support and the love.  jonathan, thank you for the miracle."
