Rent," "Spunk" top the list
What: "Rent"
Where: Proctor's Theatre, 432 State St., Schenectady
When: June 8-13
Why: Proctor's doesn't really count as summer theater, but they're slipping this
Broadway blockbuster under the wire, and it promises to be their hottest season closer
since the brilliant touring production of "Angels in America" a few years back.
If you don't know by now, "Rent" moves Puccini's "La Boheme" downtown
-- literally and figuratively -- to the hippest neighborhoods of New York.
