The Ordway
December 13, 1999 |
If you're like many Rent fans out there, you (or someone you know)
have stood in line to buy a $20 ticket for a front row seat. This year, no one will be
standing in line, but virtually, everyone will get in line - online. 28 seats in the front
two rows of the orchestra will be available for $20 for every performance of Rent,
the Pulitzer Prize and TonyŽ Award-winning musical, at the Ordway Music Theatre which
runs December 21, 1999 through January 1, 2000. This year tickets will be available in an
all new online lottery called "The Virtual $20 Rent Line."
The exact rules are as follows:
The online ticket
lottery begins at 9:00 p.m. for the next day's tickets and closes at 11:00 a.m. the day of
the performance
The cost is $20 per
ticket (maximum of two) plus a $2 facility fee; seats are located in the first two rows
