Wilson Cruz's career hasn't stopped since he played the troubled, gay teenager on the TV drama My So Called Life. On his way to his current TV role -as Victor, the nanny on Fox's Party of Five- he did a one year stint on the Broadway musical Rent and played a heroic computer engineer on the sci-fi big screen thriller Super Nova, opening in January.

Latina caught up with the soon to be 26-year-old actor at Los Angeles' Café Espresso Mi Cultura, where he chatted about roles, Puerto Rican food, and heaven.

L: Some groups have called for Latinos to stop watching TV.
C: You know, I can't sit here and say that I completely disagree. At the same time, I want people to see me and the work I'm trying to do on Party of Five.

L: You don't do the Hollywood premieres?
C: If I have a friend in the movie. I went to the premiere of Mod Squad because Clare [Danes] was in it. I'll go to support the people I know and love.

L: What's your idea of a romantic date?
C: I think the nicest romantic thing is having a nice little dinner at home with my boyfriend, watching TV, and just cuddling in the couch.

L: Favorite song, and or artist?
C: There's a song by José Feliciano that [makes me] cry. "Un pedacito de cielo," I think it¹s what it's called. I know that's what it says in the song. I love José Feliciano.

L: Do you cook?
C: Not as much as I would like to. My boyfriend cooks, he's Puerto Rican, so we get all the good stuff. I make a mean white rice [laughs] which is the Puerto Rican version of the salad.

L: Do you believe in heaven?
C: Yes.

L: Do you believe in anything else?
C: I don't believe in hell. I believe in heaven. I believe that we are God, collectively.
